Welcome to UBUD
Still on Day 2, after the Safari trip (we ended up spending almost 4 hours) we told Nyoman to take us to art villages to buy some paintings & craftworks. We knew that Ubud is the art centre of Bali and is famous for its artist & paintings.
I managed to purchase three (3) paintings costing me around RP 1,750,000. Cheap, and of course, quality is so-so. But, ok...I am no expert either. Just need some cool abstract paintings for my walls at home!
The sky is already dark by 7pm. And geez, we still have no accomodation yet! Although Nyoman assured us there will be PLENTY in Ubud...we are still worried =P
True enough, all hotels/cottages/etc are FULL. Sigh! Again, we walk and stopped at every single hotel we find in Ubud. Finally, we found YULIA INN. The price was unreasonably expensive, but we have no choice. It cost us a whopping RP 800,000 for one night which I am sure, is definitely overpriced. Again, no choice lah.... at least, it has a proper and CLEAN bath tub. Nice, but pricey. Not value for money, in my opinion. And duh, can we trust the internet anymore? Look at their website! http://www.yuliaubud.com/ So, be smart. Do some research and read reviews before booking anything, anywhere!
After settling in, we decided that we will be staying in Ubud for two nights. I told hubby that we will look for an alternative accomodation. This room is so noisy, it is facing the back of a spa. You can hear the workers chit-chatting, radio blasting, etc. I am SURE we can find some reasonable place to stay! Off to DINNER!! Almost 8pm already...
We decided to have our dinner at DIAN Restaurant..it seemed packed. I ordered a fish dish while hubby opt for the BBQ Chicken. Yummy! No wonder the place is packed..the food taste good and the price are reasonable too!

After a short walk, we decided to call it a day. It was a tiring day for both of us.
